I agree that our country on it’s current course is turning into a fascist state (marriage of government and corporations.) I absolutely support the use of video cameras and video sharing websites to help reverse this fascist trend. The democratization of video “broadcasting” will play a KEY role in the public support of this student AND THE PRESENTATION OF EVIDENCE when he fights his college and it’s security forces in the courts. Again youtube video of entire question of student is here.
Drawing a gun on an unarmed man in a public theater is appalling and is exactly what this national news video clip clearly shows but not mention. Another reason to petition the college to discipline their security forces. And another reason why even a hard conservative, Tucker Carlson, couldn’t even say anything bad against this young man who was asking Kerry (in the clip) about the stolen election of 2004. Video is POWERFUL.

Amazing! I always was curious WHY the elite want to bankrupt America–now I think it makes sense in order to get us to beg for the North American Union. The breaking of our military and national guard reserves would also make sense when looking at this new Union that is taking place behind closed doors.
Currently penned only by Bush via executive orders, the program is currently titled, “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.” Congress has not been involved to date. Hal Turner lays out a convincing aurgument on his website for the reason for the partnership currently slated to be in full operation by 2010–including news video clips–on his website. Keep in mind a new currency that will replace the dollar is already being minted.
Watch any one of these news clips to get informed yourself–

Have you ever experienced a moment in time when your eyes were doing their job but your mind was still struggling to make sense of it? I’ve experienced it on three occasions since moving to the hill country. You literally stop what you were doing and thinking, and for a moment, you are stuck spinning a loop of unthought that can best be described as saying to oneself, “What is that? what is that? What is that?”
It’s an amazing experience–your brain spinning trying to make reason of the information coming in from the eyes. It’s like those scary movie charaters who freeze with their jaw dropped at the sight in front of them. You yell at the screen, “Run! What are you stupid? Run!”
Well, now I know I’d be one of those charaters. Frozen. Drop jawed. My brain spinning trying to reason what the eyes were seeing.
The first time this happened I walking our dog, WolfieGirl, and saw a large something crossing the road about a quarter of a mile away. It saw us, stopped and stood in the middle of the road. WolfieGirl and I stopped walking and we stood frozen, our minds spinning, “What is that? What is that? What is that?”
Turns out it was a cougar. Like a large dog with long skinny tail, cat slink, cat freeze. No one believed me until a neighbor confirmed that cougar(s) still roam our neighborhood occasionally and their tracks cross where I saw mine that day.
Another head spinning moment occurred while walking Wolfie. This time the creature was much smaller but much closer. We had turned our back on the road ahead of us for only a moment as WolfieGirl sniffed something interesting. We turned ahead to continue only to see ahead of us a spikey looking raccoon half way across the road. It was crossing in a shaded area at sundown so I couldnt make out colors. It didn’t move like a raccoon. It was larger than a raccoon, was dragging it’s tail, and it’s “fur” was jagged like a punk rocker.
Fifteen minutes later it occurred to me what my eyes saw–it must have been a porcupine. It’s interesting how my brain was spinning for fifteen minutes trying to make reason of a double sized raccoon that had horribly muddied fur and that didn’t move like all the other raccoons I had seen before.
Brains are amazing things. All the info is there, but if the brain is not able to reason it tries every trick in the book to make it fit what it knows.
Now, on to the reason for this post and the video below.
It’s a Crested Caracara. And my friend, Deana, captured it on tape near Enchanted Rock Park last April.
The video shows a rare creature that made my brain spin the first time I saw it in real life. I was driving toward Bastrop on a two-lane highway and saw a duck-like creature standing on the shoulder of the road. My car whizzed by it and from then on my brain was spinning, “What was that? Did I just see a duck? A duck with a long legs? What’s a duck doing on the side of the road?”
This bird is a native of Texas and I’m a Texas native, but I had never seen one of these ducks before–thus my brain spinned, and spinned, trying to make sense of what my eyes were telling me.
MY POINT: All of us do it. And we do it when we watch moving pictures on our screens. Our brains always make reason of what we see. And when we become video makers we cast, dress, decorate, script and light recreating those lifelong unconscious meanings because we think they are real.
Some video makers are conscious of their decisions, especially the professionals. But not nearly enough. Most professionals are still running around recreating their unconscious programming–this means that, that means this, period the end.
Unconscious meanings that we’ve created are found everywhere in our professional media. And most of them have formed into collective unconscious meanings. That’s what beauty looks like. That’s how rich people act.
And just because you see them over and over doesn’t mean they are real.

I use to suffer from migraines and headaches. The doctor you’re about to meet didn’t prescribe drugs, but rather he identified that I had kinks in my spine that has developed over time and were putting pressure on my nerves most associated with digestion, allergies and sinus. With corrective spine adjustments I would not suffer he said. And he was right. I’ve had two migraines in eight years–before that I was averaging two a month.
Recently I was sick all March and had be on steroids, antibiotics and then a combo of the two for 10 days. What had happened was a slow ever increasing result of eating foods that I’m sensitive too. This happened over years then escalated in a few short months.
After seeing two nutritionists for several months it was March and I was freaking out about my health. My doctors seemed less. All my doctors but Dr. Rick Barrett. I asked him what he thought was happening and he told me that he thought it was a food sensitivity thing. He suggested I take two types of enzymes and get a food sensitivity test. Needless to say I’m much better. I no longer get dull sinus pressure or stress headaches.
I tell you this becuase t’s important to have natural health care provider. They know much more than your regular doctor does because they consider well known areas that regular doctors don’t. And I dont know why they don’t. Rick had suggested to me that I get food sensitivity test for years but I never heard of that and thought the idea was nuts. My health came to a screeching halt in March. Neither GP doctor had any idea what was wrong. Rick said he was 99% certain it was the foods I eat. Little did I know it was black pepper, broccoli and spinach that were kicking my immune system into oblivion. More on this later….

Have you heard about SiCKO yet? I have read and watched everything I could get my hands on before last night so I felt I knew the contents of the film as it started and moved forward. WOW! There were soooo many gems that the media hasn’t even talked about, yet! The TRUE GEMS and POIGNANT MESSAGES of the movie are still there for you to discover yourself. And I highly encourage you to do when it premieres nationwide June 29th.
When Michael Moore announced pre-screenings in select cities I immediately bought tickets to SiCKO. That screening happened last night. The theater was packed–possibly sold out. SiCKO is hilarious! Entertaining. Informative. And surreal. Materfully crafted to educate us but without causing immediate riots in the theaters. SiCKO is the Must-See movie of the year!
The audience participation was unusual for a mainstream movie. There were at least three times when the audience clapped wildly. Tons of laughter from everyone, and a few moments of hissing from the more vocal attendees. Stay in your seat for the credit roll–more gems appear throughout the credits that you won’t want to miss!
There are soooo many things Moore could have said in this film, but he choose to keep it simple. He didn’t go off on the number of drug addicted people locked in jail; mentally ill kicked into the streets; the number of deaths from properly taken medication; the now fact that hospitals are bad for our health and are ranked as a leading factor to tens of thousands of accidental deaths each year. Moore really kept his details and message to the basics.
MY FAVORITE PARTS:
(1) the former Brittish official explaining Democracy and Britain’s birth of their National Health System, (2) clear origin and goal of privatized health insurance, and (3) Michael’s subtle call-to-action to cure our self-imposed “health care” system.
If you want clear instructions on what you can do to help change our system then visit Michael’s “to do” list by clicking the banner (left.) (Another smart marketing push to his website.)
MY FAVORITE QUOTES FROM THE MOVIE:
“I feel so insulted right now.”
“Cracks were intentionally created so people could be swept into them.”
“To keep their populations under control governments will keep their populations freightened, demoralized and unhealthy…. uneducated and in debt.”
“It was enough to make me put down my Freedom Fries.”
“I feel so guilty that I have over here what my parents worked their whole lives for and have yet to obtain.”
THE VISUALS THAT I THOUGHT WERE MASTERFUL:
The exaggerration of communist archive footage with special effects, sound effects, and Moore’s voice over.
Moore yelling “Stop! Stop! And then covers his ears and starts yelling gibberish so he can’t hear anymore.
The faces breaking from guilt and shame.
The children’s covert and overt anger AT THEIR PARENTS for not being able to afford health care after parent’s health insurance was canceled.

Amazon worked with Joe and Wiley Publishing to make his own web page on Amazon.com! I made the video that is posted on it. It has a Jack Bauer, 24 feel. I made it under a time crunch and decided that a “split screen” would be faster to make than traditional cutting back and forth from camera to camera. Once I tried it in the timeline I instantly realized I was more visually engaged than I would have been if the cameras were cut back to back. You can watch it on his new Amazon page here–
www.amazon.com/vitale
I made the video in Ulead VideoStudio, a software costing under $99. I spent most my time searching for the best relavent, engaging 5 minute piece from the first hour and half of the seminar. Then I spent about 30 minutes “editing” which includes being inspired to do the split screen. Then I spent about an hour making the video–rendering it to mpeg then to two WMV versions, high and low compressions. Next I uploaded it to one of my domains so Amazon could download it.
What do You listen to throughout the day? I must have clocked thousands of hours at www.AirAmerica.com since it came on air. It was an absolute mental life saver when I got the streaming signal on it’s first day on air. The only other time I’ve heard opinions like theirs was in my own head. Ever want to know what progressive voices sound like? Tune in to Air America.
I haven’t enjoyed every air jockey they’ve promoted. Jerry Springer was embarrassing. Lionel is a close second to Jerry Springer. I liked Al Franken but LOOOOOVE Randi Rhodes, Sam Sedar and Rachel Maddow. All three of these hosts got me laughing so hard numerous times that I got self conscious driving in my car.
I just noticed they put up a little quick video so I thought it might be fun to post it here on my blog. Since blogs are supposed to be personal and stuff I thought it would be a great part of my personality to share. This is the first time I’ve ever seen Randi and Rachel on video.
